The Chief Operations Officer is the executive that orchestrates all of Alterna alongside the Director. They oversee all of our teams directly, as well as coordinate the Operations team.

responsibilities you’d have
- Oversee the entirety of Alterna
- Assign tasks and projects
- Oversee project development
- Respond to help inquires and jump into action when it’s needed
- Represent Alterna, both online and offline
- Motivate volunteer engagement and participation
- Conduct operational research and analysis to inform strategic decisions
- Collaborate with Alterna’s Director on strategy implementation and development to drive Alterna into success

- Information capture and presentation software as Google Docs and Slides
for this role, you must
- Have strong leadership skills
- Be fond of Alterna’s cause and share a legitimate interest on it
- Have excellent management skills
- Be able to collaborate and share ideas with others
- Be proficient in English, both written and spoken
- Attend and speak on as-called meetings
- Be comfortable with presenting and public speaking
- Be well organized with deadlines
